Home for the Holidays

On December 20th, Rebecca and I flew home to Calgary.  Rebecca’s mom, Bev, and her sister, Paige, were there to greet us and take us out to Strathmore.  Over the next few days, we kept busy catching up with friends and family.  Kevin and I made it out to Lake Louise with some friends.  Before we knew it, it was Christmas Eve.  We spent the day at my dad’s then I stayed the night at Scott and Jenelle’s.  It was great to spend Christmas morning opening presents with my nephew, Wyatt.  On Christmas Day, we spent time with Rebecca’s family including her Aunt Jo, Uncle Garry, and Cousin Stacey.

On Boxing Day, I flew down to Phoenix to see my mom and Vern.  They recently bought a park model trailer in Gold Canyon…it is a very cool spot.  I also drove over to Palm Springs to see my buddies, Kirk and Zack.  It was nice to escape the cold in Calgary, get in some golf, and see Budster too.

Once I was back, Rebecca and I met some friends at Craft Beer House and had a good time.  We also had a nice dinner with Rebecca’s dad, Barry, Carole, and Grandma Margaret.  Our New Year’s Eve was a quiet one spent with Rebecca’s sister playing cribbage, bustin’ some dance moves on the PS3, and having some good food and drink.

Two weeks flew by and on Jan 3rd we sadly said goodbye to our family and flew back home to Abu Dhabi.

Hey Dan & Rebecca. Glad you had a good time at Xmas. You should both pass that Lake Louise picture around at work to see how many people can relate. I’m watching for you on the golf channel this weekend at the Tigerless tournament .

Hope you had a good time at Christmas as well. We didn’t stick around for the golf this weekend, but I heard McIroy’s clubs weren’t working so well and Tiger didn’t play well either.

Sorry we missed you guys! We skied most of the holidays with friends and family but were all over the map! Deb and I took a bunch of lessons so were up to doing chutes now! Ready for you next time…no beacons or probes though please.
    Stay in touch.

Good to hear you guys got out lots. Rebecca and I are planning a ski trip to Geneva in March. Going to find out what a monster resort in France is like. Can’t wait.
