Steve and Susan Make It Back From India

Uncle Steve and Auntie Susan arrived in Abu Dhabi on March 10th after spending 3 more weeks traveling in India.  That night, we had a nice Italian themed meal at home and heard many interesting stories about their adventures.  On Friday, we drove out to the NYU Abu Dhabi campus and checked out a sculpture exhibition called Phantom Limb by Diana Al Hadid.  Afterwards, we had a nice lunch at Shakespeare’s inside the Residences at St. Regis and took a stroll on the beach.   Getting back into town, we walked over to the Redbull Air Race and watched a few of the pilots show off their skills.  That night we ventured over to the Belgian Beer Café and shared a couple of buckets of mussels for dinner.

The next day, we had an al fresco Japanese lunch at Inakaya in the Venetian Village at the Ritz Carlton.  We finished our lunch and jumped onto the abra we had reserved for a 1 hour tour.  We cruised under Maqta and Sheikh Zayed Bridges and were soon out in the Mangrove National Park with views of the Abu Dhabi skyline in the background.  We stopped at the Mina Zayed port on the way home to pick up our veggies for the week and swung through the fish market.  We enjoyed one last meal together that night at the house.  I said goodbye to our traveling Aunt and Uncle before Bec took them to the airport on her way to work.  We really enjoyed our trip to India and having Steve and Susan in our home once again.
