Golfing in the Desert

Last weekend, Dan decided it was time to hit the golf course! He got out there early in an attempt to beat the heat. He started hitting a bucket of balls and was soaked in sweat before he even teed off at 7:10am. He golfed a round of 18 at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club. Cold towels were provided on the course and he was drinking a half litre of water on each hole. Even so, he was soaked from head to toe in sweat. He was exhausted and might have had a little heat stroke when he got back. Not sure when he will be making it out there again…maybe 9 holes next time.

About rrettenmier

In September 2010, Dan and I received working visas for the United Kingdom. We sold our condo, quit our jobs and packed our bags to move to London. This blog (though a few months late) is designed to update our friends and family back home about where we are and what we are up to.

    Hey Youse,
Clubhouse looks just like Sedgewick’s. Your Mom is coming up this weekend & we are playing a round on Monday Dan. Temperature should be around 20 degrees. I’ll forward the scores if I beat her.
