Snowy London

As Dan mentioned in his last post, I flew to London in early February to celebrate my friend Debbi’s birthday. I arrived in London on Thursday, February 2nd and met up with my friend Jen from Canada. Jen moved to London in January 2012 to pursue her career and was staying with Debbi. I was there for 11 days and we were able to do so many fun things. We went to 3 movies, one which opened with a introduction from Daniel Radcliff(better known as Harry Potter). On Saturday, February 4th we went out to a pub for Debbi’s birthday and realized it was snowing when we hopped in the taxi cab. It snowed all night and created some traffic delays across the city but most were having a good time throwing snow balls around and building snow men. We also went to a gun salute for the Queens Diamond Jubilee at Tower Bridge and a highlight was the Snow Patrol concert at the O2 Arena. I flew back to Albania on Monday February 13th (which also happened to be my sisters 21st birthday). It was great trip and was fun to see some snow in London.

About rrettenmier

In September 2010, Dan and I received working visas for the United Kingdom. We sold our condo, quit our jobs and packed our bags to move to London. This blog is designed to update our friends and family back home about where we are and what we are up to, as well as to share our adventure with others.
